Welcome to Hazle Township Fire and Rescue

Founded in 1976, Hazle Twp. Fire/Rescue Covers 54.5 Square Miles protecting the residents and visitors of Hazle Twp. We also run mutual aid to many of our neighboring communities. We operate out of 2 stations with a total of 12 pieces of Apparatus, including 2 Engines, 1 Tower/Ladder, A TDA ladder truck, a Heavy Rescue and numerous support vehicles. We are located in the heart of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Coal region. We average between 900 and 1,000 responses per year. Our 1st due area is quite diverse. It includes 2 large industrial areas, 4 schools, malls, nursing homes, Interstate 81, and numerous villages and developments that also give us the "bedroom community" aspect. We are 100% Volunteer!
