About Hazle Township Fire and Rescue
Our History
Hazle Township Fire and Rescue was established in 1976 to serve and protect the residents of Hazle Township and the surrounding communities in Northeastern Pennsylvania’s historic Coal Region.
For nearly five decades, our dedicated volunteers have been responding to emergencies, saving lives, and protecting property throughout our coverage area. What started as a small group of community-minded individuals has grown into a well-equipped, professionally trained volunteer fire and rescue organization.
Today, we continue the proud tradition of volunteer service that has been the backbone of emergency response in communities across America. Our members come from all walks of life, united by a common goal: to help our neighbors in their time of need.

100% Volunteer
Hazle Township Fire and Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization. Our members dedicate their time and energy to protecting our community without compensation. They train extensively, respond to emergencies at all hours, and put themselves at risk to keep our neighbors safe.
If you’re interested in joining our team or supporting our mission, we’d love to hear from you.
